Where would you go if you wanted to find: men dressed up as women, magic furniture and blue people? The Panto of course! Young Flintshire recently took at trip to the mighty Theatre Clwyd in Mold to check out this years extraveganza: Aladdin - The Wok 'n' Roll Panto. With explosive entrances and trap door exits, this dynamic perormance is well worth seeing. The actors don't just provide well timed gags and a fair dose of splapstic comedy but play over twenty mind blowing songs, which (with little persuation) were assured to get the audience up on their feet and dancing like there's no tomorrow! The jokes, in any other setting, would go down like a lead balloon, which shows how incredible the atmosphere was. The audience were, quite literally, flooding the theatre with tears of laughter. A superb performance from the one and only Phylip Harries, who played Widow Twanky, left audience members struggling for breathe between belly laughs! Overall, this years panto is a must see. An occasion for familiy gatherings and an occasion for friends outing, it truly does cater for all! There's only a few days left to see it - so get in quick. I wonder what they'll come up with next year?
