It was Tuesday 18 October and we arrived in Liverpool for 11 o'clock, roughly trying to plan our day ready to see Katy Perry live that night.

All day we debated what time to head from Lime Street, so around 12 we headed down to the docks where we were lucky to be right at the front of the queue.

A few people in front had been queuing since 9am that morning, they even had blankets and chairs.

However, five and a half hours passed and 6 o'clock came. Railings were being put out to contain the lines of fans singing and chanting Katy Perry songs at the top of their lungs.

We entered the arena where we were given a fancy Katy Perry key chain. We slowly made our way to the front of the arena and couldn't believe that we were right at the front, feet away from the stage.

After photos being taken and the arena getting full, the concert started and the support act came on - a band called Oh Land. To be fair, I had never heard music like it - dubstep mixed with pop and a little rock.

Then much to my amazement a DJ came on and got the crowd moving. I've never seen so many hands in the air. He even played a male cover of Adele's Rolling In The Deep, mixed a few other tracks and even got us chanting Katy Perry's name.

Then out of the blue the curtains opened to reveal the most amazing set I have ever seen. It reminded me of a dream or a set from Alice In Wonderland. Next minute, three large screens started to show the most unusual story of Katy trawling through the woods.

Then she appeared from the back of the stage to perform the most amazing show I have ever seen, with many different costumes and songs including Peacock, Hot 'N' Cold, California Girls and Circle The Drain.

Throughout the concert many entertaining videos were shown during costume changes and the stage lighting was fantastic. I have never seen so many lights light up a full arena, especially during E.T. There were songs performed up on podiums and on a cloud that flew out across the arena. Katy even played acoustic guitar.

However, as the final song approached I was too busy recording California Girls before my battery died so I could not film Katy jumping on a gun with foam being sprayed across the arena and a glitter cannon being set off to cover us. We all had to get the train home looking like, well I can't explain what!

We all quickly dispersed the arena and made our way back to the train station. It was packed and everyone just wanting to get home.

However, when we got back to Chester our train was nearly cancelled, but by 1 o'clock we were back to reality. It felt like it was all a dream.
